Gustav A. Jung built the north section of this building in 1907 as a combination Furniture Store and Funeral Parlor.  The main two story portion was constructed of brick, the rear portion of the building was wood frame.  A wood barn in the rear housed the horses, funeral wagon and sled.  The barn later became a wash garage and storage for the motorized hearse.  When the Funeral business was discontinued the barn became a furniture warehouse.

Ray J. Jung, son of Gustav, later occupied the second story portion as his residence and operated the remainder of the building as a furniture and Appliance store.

In 1964, the rear barn and the single floor wood frame section, attached at the rear of the two story original structure, were raised and the addition of block structure was added as it appears today.

At present, Ray Jung, the great-grandson of Gustav Jung, grandson of Ray J. Jung, is operating the Furniture business.  The original business was established in 1908.
